Twenty Years and Counting.....

I need to mention in between Jon's birthday party, Eric and Joseph's musical tonight, Michael, Jacob and Scott's pictures with Santa today ohhh and a bunch of other things...that today Steve and I have been married twenty years!! Twenty years ago we thought this would be the perfect time to get married....We envisioned our family gathering together for Thanksgiving, around a cake in the middle of a big table to celebrate the beginning of our family. Ahh, what a beautiful vision... But, ever since that wonderful day on November 21, 1989, we have had to smoosh our anniversary in between my father-in-law's birthday (who is no longer with us) Jonathan's birthday and Thanksgiving!! We end up pushing our anniversary celebration into December...which is fine I guess. So, that is what we will do again this year. Maybe when we are old and grey we will have some sort of cake and perhaps that vision I had of this grand celebration will actually happen. I picture 20 or so grandchildren sitting around and our boys and their wives all gathered around as we celebrate the creation of our family. Do you think it will ever happen? Or were we just starry eyed crazy kids with idealistic dreams?

Our Anniversary Celebration..the big one...is being postponed until the end of January this year...! Ha ! We couldn't even find time to celebrate in December this year...What does this say? Should I be worried? We just decided that not much is going on at the end of January and we should be free to get away. I suppose it is the season of life we are in...
