Autumn 2010 Catch up Part 2- Come Little Leaves Said the Wind One Day..
Come Little Leaves Said the Wind One Day,
Come, Come Along and Let's Go Out and Play.
Put on your dresses of Red and Gold,
For Winter is Coming, Oh so Cold.
Scotty and I went on a little walk on a spectacular perfect Fall Afternoon.
We were blessed to have the most beautiful Fall this year... It stayed warm late into the season. The trees gently and slowly turned crimson red and gold. The colors were so vivid!
I love hanging out with this boy.
Just a few more shots so we can hold Autumn 2010 in hearts. We were spoiled this year.

Catch Up...First Day of School....
Hard to believe that it was time to start school again....
I think this will be the year we remember that we "slummed" our way into the first day of school. Look at those clothes! Who dresses those children? I think I was a little distracted in getting Eric ready and off to college. Plus these boys will do anything to get out of shopping for clothes! And, I guess it worked! Well, atleast they are darn cute! So, maybe no one noticed that they look like little urchins...lost and forgotten by their mother.
4th Grade! How can it be that this boy is starting 4th grade! And he got the teacher he wanted..hoped for..Mrs. LeFevre!!!
Michael and his good friend Brandon. They both made it into Mr. Cook's class...and this made them very happy!
And ...with some coaxing..this young man let me take his picture on his first day back as a JUINOR!! Holy Cow!
And, well, I am sorry to report that the 9th grade boy was too anxious to get to school early and therefore would not pose for a picture. Jon will be the new boy on the block at Albion Middle after going to Churchill Jr High for the past two years. He decided he wanted to be with all of his friends ..and football team ...so he was one excited boy, anxious to get his foot in the door and make a great first impression. I am happy to report that he went to school with just the right clothes, his hair combed just right, and ready to be the big man... (He is fun ..funny...to watch) I know he will make it a great year! And we are happy for him!
So, after school I tried to be a cool mom and have cookies and milk ready for them. It will probably never happen again, but at least I was really cool one day this year.
I love these boys and here's to a great year! And now we are off and running into a great year!

Mission Call...
These fine people are going on their 4th mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Jacob will not be going with them.. ha ha... but I had to use this cute picture of them.
I love my Mom and Dad...and their devotion to the Gospel and to their Savior. I have never seen two people more joyful about sharing the Gospel.. My Momma has a talent for striking up a conversation with anyone anywhere.. She views each person she meets as a brother or sister and immediately loves them. My Dad is the same way! He loves everyone and anyone speaking with them can see this love in their eyes and hear it in their voices.....
Which is why this mission call is so perfect for them. They get to serve here in this breathtakingly beautiful place....and specifically in the Visitors Center of the Washington DC Temple, meeting people from all over the world every day.
I couldn't be happier..... I am a returned Visitors Center sister missionary. I know what fun they are in for. I know how powerful this experience will be in their lives and how much joy they will find in this assignment. I know they will meet people from all over the world! I know Heavenly Father will lead the honest in heart to this Visitors Center. I know how much they will treasure the opportunity to testify of Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father's Plan of Happiness. I know they will see eyes light up and hearts touched as some will recognize "TRUTH" and want to learn more. I am so thrilled for them!
Yep.... standing here....bearing witness of Jesus Christ. It is a wonderful thing.
We love you Mom and Dad. You have a huge fan club cheering you on. So thankful for your example, your unwavering testimonies and your love.

This Is Exactly How I Feel About Now...
School is over....all of the end of school activities, field trips, school programs, recitals, assemblies ..and this year graduation .....every mom knows what I am talking about.
I usually have the summer all mapped out, plans and guidelines in place to make things run smoothly... (that is the theory anyway!) And well, I haven't had a chance to even think about it.
I've got to get my act together, but what I REALLY feel like doing is playing all morning, having a snack, falling asleep and avoiding all responsibility.

Who is This Visitor at My Door?
It was one of those breezy days..you know the kind..with the perfect temperature.... and a perfect gentle breeze ....
So I opened the door and saw this ....
Plus he had just finished eating strawberries dipped in sugar....Kind of made me wish I could strip down to my undies, run around in that perfect breeze and snack on sweet strawberries too...
Oh yeah, it was a perfect spring day.

Scott's Pictures!
am thrilled at how these pictures turned out! They were taken by Cindi Meier, of A Moment in Time. She did such a great job capturing the many sides of Scott's personality. It was very hard to choose which ones to order. I just want to order them all. How in the world can I not?

My Sweet Baby Scotty.....
Three Short Years Ago......
Those sweet fleeting newborn days...... there is nothing like them in this world. How quickly time goes by... I can still vividly recall how that delicate soft cheek felt to kiss and nuzzle and and how sweet he smelled. I hope I never forget.
It's My Party and I'll Cry If I Want To!
Look Who Celebrated His 3rd Birthday!
Scott wasn't so happy for his third birthday party. He fell asleep a bit too late in the day and wasn't happy at all that we woke him up for his birthday dinner. He chose homemade pizza for his birthday dinner. He loves to make his very own personal pizza. But, he isn't too happy about it here..
Luckily, the next day he decided it was time to celebrate...
Happy Third Birthday Scotty! You are a blessing! We love you so much!
The new traditional picture..... That's our baby! We love you Scott.
Ahhh ...that's better!!!
We love this boy!
